In 1988, TransWorld Network, Corp. began offering enterprise-focused long distance services in the upper Midwest. By the late 1990’s, TWN saw a need for reliable and affordable long distance and dial-up Internet services in rural areas. This began our partnership of over 20 years with rural electric cooperatives. Our co-op partners first brought electricity to rural areas in the 1930s and 1940s. Now, by working with TWN, they can also bring communication services to their members, and to surrounding areas.
In 2005, we started working to fulfill the demand for faster Internet and compatible products such as VoIP Digital Phone. We knew the only way to maintain the service levels our customers demand was to build our own network.
Today, we own and operate our own network, covering over 250,000 square miles of service territory throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Indiana making TWN one of the largest WISPs (Wireless Internet Service Provider) in the country.
